LA GRANDE, Ore. – As the No. 13 Eastern Oregon University football team continues to prepare for its season opener against College of Idaho on Saturday, head football coach Tim Camp [3] announced the team captains for the 2015 campaign.

Junior quarterback Zach Bartlow [4], senior running back Jace Billingsley [5], senior defensive back Adam Bese [6], and senior linebacker Gary Posten [7] were the quartet of captains announced by Camp on Sunday afternoon.

"This is a group of guys that have been selected by their teammates and coaches because they are outstanding ambassadors for our program," said Camp. "They are leaders in the classroom, in the community, in the locker room, and are fine representatives of Eastern Oregon University and this program."

Zach Bartlow [8] – JR – QB – 6'0" – 195 lbs. – Waitsburg, Wash. (Waitsburg HS)

Bartlow finished the 2014 season with 2,844 total yards and 19 touchdowns. He was 11th in the NAIA in passing efficiency (141.2), and he ranked fourth in the Frontier Conference with 258.5 yards per game. In addition to his hard work on the field, Bartlow earned 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete plaudits.

Jace Billingsley [9] – SR – RB – 5'9" – 185 lbs. – Winnemucca, Nev. (Lowry HS)

Billingsley's junior campaign helped aid the Mountaineers to their highest win total since 2011. In addition to 16 touchdowns, he led the Frontier Conference and was No. 4 in the NAIA with 2,065 all-purpose yards. Billingsley earned first-team all-conference recognition, as well as 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.

Adam Bese [10] – SR – DB – 6'0" – 195 lbs. – Kent, Wash. (Kentwood HS)

With 57 tackles and one interception, Bese appeared in all 11 games in 2014 and played a pivotal role in helping EOU become the second-best defensive team in the Frontier Conference. One of the top defensive backs in the league, Bese will anchor the EOU secondary in 2015.

Gary Posten [11] – SR – LB – 6'1" – 210 lbs. – Emmett, Idaho (Emmett HS)

Despite having his junior year cut short on Oct. 18 against Montana Western, Posten finished second on the team with 67 tackles in just seven games last season. A standout in the classroom, Posten was named to the Academic All-Conference team in 2014.
